I just saw a picture of the new BMW 4 series in the August edition of Car and Driver. From the side it looks like a large Z4 and the back (what I can see of it) looks like an '04 5 series. The back of the car looks much higher than the front, giving the car a sloping down look. So if you like the Z4 and 5 series, you'll love the 4 series. The M4 is supposed to have a 380 HP V8.
I'm sure there will be those who like this styling, but for me it's not a happy day. I was going to be one of the first to put a deposit on the M4 but not now. So I guess it's going to have to be another Porsche for me. The rumor is that you can get a 40th anniversary 911 in the low to mid $70s. The 911 doesn't have the practicality of the M3 but at least its styling doesn't make me want to puke.
