...and to anyone else who wants to read.

I know several members on this board have gone through, or are in law school. When I was running through the gauntlet of admissions, Anoodle made the comment that NOT getting in is probably a blessing. He went on to state that "he would not wish law school on his enemies."

It's only been a month for me, and I completely agree. [?|]

No real point; just tired of the reading and analytical work that goes on till 2am and gets resumed at 8am. I look forward to showers; the only time, and I mean only time, I don't have a book with me.

Sean

btw~ I hope no members of the board read this and think I am saying by any means that law school is harder than anything else. I'm sure Justin could enlighten me as to 'how easy I have it' in relation to med school. It's all subjective. I'm just not used to it and I like relaxing on this board.

bbtw~ this board is greaat! And when I say the board, I mean the members; all of them. Great collection of BMW enthusiasts who appreciate life and the idea of communion with others. Always helpful and 99.9% of the time friendly.

dam law school must be harsh o_O. I have an uncle and cousin still doing it and theyre always fretting. I could never cope with something like that, simply because i always fall asleep while reading books. No matter how hard i try to stay awake :|.

Thats probably why i ended up in a design program

I'm 18 right now and I thought about going into law for a few years. I took a couple of classes sophmore and junior year, criminal justice, business law, and law in american society to be exact, but I decided it wasnt for me. So now I'm moving toward business classes so I can take over my family business, and hopefully start my own.

I did my undergrad in business, and worked towards my CPA (3 credits shy), need to finish that when I have the time. Also worked toward my MBA I worked for two companies (one small to mid size and one huge) throughout summers in college. I'm BMG-ing about it, but if you aare seriously considering taking over a business a law degree would be 100 times more useful than an MBA and 1000 times better than a BBA.

And I took those so-called business law and crim-law classes in college (went to a highly ranked business school, so it wasn't a throw away class) and law school is NOTHING like that. This is much more work, but it's also much more thought provoking and infuriating and satisfying at times. But mostly overwhelming.

I don't think I want to convince you to go to law school, but at the same time don't rule it out on those biases. Based on your needs, it would be very useful.

Big Daddy,

I did not know you went to law school! (Not that I should or anything).

How long ago did you attend?

When did you graduate?

What kind of law did you practice? (You're retired now, right?)

Sean yes I am retired, I retired at 49 yrs of age. I began taking law school classes part time while working at the PD. I worked with Police Departments after graduation, 11years ago now, advising on Policies and Procedures manuals. I also represented officers regarding false arrests suits.

Sean...I read your story and felt the same. Sometimes taking a short break can clear up your mind a bit. Working with study group helps a lot.

Yeah, three of us formed a study group; we meet usually friday nights... we get in some heated discussions, sometimes about commas. It's absurd. I jst feel like if I take a break I'm going to fall behind. I don;t know.

HAve you already graduated?

btw, I absolutely loved your signature regarding Mercedes bringing driving enjoyment.
