I just had the throttle component crap out in my car. It was very strange and without warning. The EML light came on, then the dsc light on the dash and then I lost power, felt like the manual transmission was shifting by itself. Wouldn't go faster than 40. I turned it off and it reset but the rear end was still skitterish and the lights came back on. Anyone have this happen?? Now its at the dealer's and they say they had to special order the part and reconfigure the computer when it is in. Is this common?[???1] The answer is no. According to the dealer, the sensor went haywire and the limiters kicked in hard. Next question, how to eliminate the limiters.
