Tire balance

Had my tires balanced today, they are a set of (275/30/19 rear) (245/35/19 front) . The guy remove the hub ring or center ring, because it was all pressed againt the hub. Now he said it should ride okay, problem is it rides like garbage. Do I need the center hub ring for these rims to have the balance okay? The car had a slight shake between 50-60mph and then it would taper off. thats why I took it to have a tire balance. Now I can't get past 45mph the wheels feel like they are about to come off. The tire guy order the hub rings though and said if that don't work, it's the wrong tire application ! Is tihis possible,( 95 540i with 106,xxx miles)

Are you talking about Hubcentric Hub Rings? Are these not the factory wheels? If you are talking aftermarket wheels the hub centric rings are necessary as BMW's are hub centric. Hub Centric

Yes, they are aftermarket wheels and I'm talking about the hubcentric rings.

Than your tire guy is wrong, you have to have those or the wheels will not sit properly on the hub and therefore are not centered and balanced.

Thanks for the info Big Daddy, I check the info you gave me. Want to order this ring if the tire guy orders the wrong kind, Where can I order for 540i BMW with 19 inch wheels (Ruff Racing #279)
