All in Germany on the 'bahn:
120 mph in a VW Passat (Driver)
135 mph in an Audi 100 (passenger - female driver!)
105 mph in my 330cic (couldn't go faster due to break-in restrictions )
In the US:
110 mph on a BMW K1200RS (bike) between Sacramento and Tahoe
I've hit my governor in my car (somewhere around 128) multiple times. The fastest I've ever been was in a stock car at Atlanta motorspeedway. We were pushing 190 or in the straightaways. I learned to respect Nascar drivers after that. That stuff was crazy. The g's and speed, and to imagine that there's usually 42 other cars on the track with you. Man, that was fun.
135mph in my friend's 2001 Passat V6 (he was driving).
110mph in our 2002 ML500 (I was driving).
110mph in my former 2003 Jetta (I was driving).
100mph in my 03 G35C (I was driving, and did this just the other day !!).
Oh yeah, and I know I suck...I just don't wanna lose my license.
I had a 'waking dream' that I did 145 indicated at 7700 rpm in 4th gear in the NSX. It seemed so real . . . [fake]
Riding in my DE instructor's E30 M3 race car I hit about 130 at Road America. I think I have been in friend's cars on many occasions in the 100-120 mph range.
a) in germany- 155mph, 2004 760il. 145mph, 2004 520i.
in NY 110 in a POS escort, the speedometer was back around to 0.
b)110mph in my parents accord and about 105mph in the 325 (it has problems, otherwise i would have gone faster)
You guys are not right!!! I haven't found my personal speed limit in a car (yet - the Passat was floored at 120 mph!) but 110 mph is about as fast as I ever plan to go on two wheels!
