I have a few bumper scratches and so got the correct touch up paint from the dealer. I hate using this stuff because it always looks like a .........well...touch up. Any suggestions on how to get the best results using the touch up kit.
thanks
I used some stuff on my wifes car, I think Duplicolor, you can use it like a pen for fine scratches. Her car was keyed, it worked OK. Easy to use. Most auto parts stores sell the stuff and all you need is the paint code.
But since the newer model of BMW comes with two bottles of touch up paint (one is the color paint, another is the paint sealer). Does the Mother chip repair work with it?
I have couple miner scratch on my car, but not a chip though, would that work too??[???1]
Yes..., even better
Use one or two layers of base coat(depending on severity of scratch. thin layers work best) and the remaining layers of clear coat.
Mothers paint chip repair is the same as Langka..., just costs less and is easier to find.
I would work it over a period of several days for the best durability. You want to make sure the wax or sealant is off of the car before starting. You can use Prepsol Acrysol or try Dawn dish detergent if only wax was applied and no sealants.
all the directions come with the package and is very easy to use. The MOST important part when using is patience
