I recently had the tranny flushed in my other vehicle. It gave life back to my tranny, but I may have waited too long. To prevent any possible future damage to my 530i tranny, I would like to flush that too. I looked in the manual I bought from Bavarian, but it doesnt talk about it at all. All I got out of it is that the tranny takes around 3 qts or Dextron II when it is serviced(sounds too little to me). Can this tranny be flushed with normal trans flush machine, or do I have to pawn off my 1st born to pay the BMW dealership to do this? Anyone had this done? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah...the reason I want it flushed is that in normal drive mode, its kinda sluggish. When I manually shift, it hauls butt! Would like that to happen without me manipulating the shifter myself.

Any transmission flushing machine should work. The 3 quart thing is if you just drain the pan and replace the filter. I recommend the power flush, just had it done to my 750iL.

No pan on my trans, no dipstick either. Its an enclosed system. I am going to get the flush if possible, but dont know if that type of trans can be done like that.
