transmission output shaft seal

where do you get a 30 mm socket that will fit in the space and around the flange to take off the output shaft thingy so i can get to the seal??

it has to be a thin walled 30 mm deep socket. Sears doesn't have one.... has anyone changed thiers before?

It looks as though SnapOn is the only company that makes such a socket.

No one has ever done this job on an e30?? I thought someone on this board had thiers blow out. Perhaps the dealer fixed it for you?

Can anyone advise??

Its the seal that is behind the flex disk. The transmission output shaft.....

i'm talking to myself here i guess but if anyone wants to know for the future, bavarian autosport has it, snap-on, and facom (bunch of sites carry facom online)

so there you have it. I'm going to have to find a local snap-on dealer though becasue i need this friday. overnight shipping is dang expencive.

Hazet also makes an appropriate socket. They're a German company but have a distributer in Florida. The part number is 900TZ, I believe.
