transmission problems or not?

Hello everyone!

I test drove a 93 525i yesterday. while on test drive "Transmission Program" came up in dash info display. THe car seemed to drive fine. Of course the sales man assured me they would have it checked and get back with me. several hours later he called saying " The message was displayed do to old code storage, they cleared the codes and tested and test drove". I am going bak to test drive this car again to day (12-17-05). and didn't know if any one had any advise.

The car is a 93 BMW 525i automatic with 111,090 miles. excellent paint and interior. I will be the third owner. car was a local trade.

If they tell you everything is fine with that issue, ask for a written warranty for this particular issue if it occurs again in the near future. If he really tested it, there shouldn't be any problem agreeing to a short term warranty.

[headbang] Thank you for the advise. That is exactly what I asked for, they agreed and i purchased the car. I have had it now for 12 hours and I already find it hard not to drive it. I LOVE IT! IS there and online bmw accessory store you would recomend [bmwdance]
