hi, I have a 1992 525i and i ngot a question for you guys. Well my transmission sometimes slams into the highest gear and I get the old auto trans+ after extended stop and go city traffic. I checked the fluid and its nassty brown. I hope that changing the fluid and maybe throwing in some lucas will fix my problem but im not 100% sure on the type. is it dexron III? Im not sure if it s related but I gave it gas at a light and it stalled on me, I shut it off and crank it up ran fine. Also I was pulling out of my friends driveway kinda taking my time and it stalled out. Its done the slamming I would say maybe 3 times over the last month(january) and the stall is something that just started this week and its done it twice. It jus kinda has a wierd rpm too, if im driving and take my foot off the gas at about 40 its kinda bogs down and feels kinda like something holding me back. It strange and Im oping that it is something as simple as tranny fluid but wanted to hear your thoughts.
