I am the rookie owner of a 97 Z3. Was wondering if there is a trick to putting that boot on after retracting top. Husband and I are getting better at it but would like to be a little quicker about it. Haven't tried it by myself yet. I know when I had my Jeep Wrangler it was a pain in the butt taking off and putting back on the ragtop. Went to "Jeep 101" and instructor did it in about 2 minutes!

I sprayed the snaps with silicone spray that helped.I leave my cover folded untill I have the middle 2 fasteners snapped then I unfold it and do the 2 sides. It takes practice.

Yes those middle snaps are a challenge at times, has gotten better and faster over last 2 year of having the car. Will also try the silicon spray and folded approach, good suggestion all.
Just have to luv riding with that top off.

grc, mine's a black top and sides (little tuff in those blind spots but not really a big deal). just leave that top down a lot to enjoy it more anyway. its a 1.9. guess they'd say a forest green but sweet, dont see that color much here.

on mine there is a sticker on the shock tower in the engine compartment that tells the name of the factory color. by "clear corners and sides" i'm talking about the signal lights. i just put a water/alcohol injection system on mine saturday and found i needed a check valve to keep the injector pump primed. just got that squared away with some unorthodox parts from "the warehouse". i now have a power brake booster vacuum check valve from an old ford stuck in my window washer reservoir feeding the injector pump, hope it stays working!
