Can anyone suggest a trustworthy BMW service type mechanic shop in the Chicago area (NW city itself would best/or close suburbs).

I have a '97 528i and would like to know where I can take it, instead of the official BMW dealerships which are a ripoff.

Thanks, [thumb]

i usually take my 540 and my 328 to a place in wheeling that is called HI-Tech. I had pretty good experience with them and they fixed everyhting without any problems. They always have bmws, benzes, and other luxury cars there to fix.

Wheeling is a bit of a drive. I am actually in the city of Chicago (NW side). Do you happen to know if they're a chain or ?

Thank you for replying. What are their prices and such at Wheeling?

I know good shops in Milwaukee. I know that is a hike, but the prices and service are so good that some people make the drive.

The guy who bought my 325i was very impressed at the prices my local shop of choice charged for their work, which is beyond reproach.

I had my E36 serviced exclusively at

The Little Car Shop
4251 N. Green Bay Road
Milwaukee, WI

I have heard good things about this local shop as well.
