Hey guys, I have a rather stupid thing that happend to me while I was gone for the 4th.

I left my house and locked both of my cars up, in my 325i I have 2 keys for it. I put one in the ash tray then locked it with the other key. I put it in my pocket... and lost it. Now I cant get into my damn car to get the other key. I dont want to goto the dealer because 1. I am selling my car and I dont want to spend $60 for a key I dont need 2. I have a key in the effin car.

I know with the service port you can do cool things like starting the car by jumping pins and whatnot. Is there anything to unlock it? Or does anyone know how to unlock it from the outside?

I am assuming not but I thought it would be worth a try before I spent the $60 on a new key.

Uh, I bought a 100% oem key from the dealer -- cut too, for $17 after PA's 6% tax. Unfortunately you need the title to get it made.

Do you have AAA or any other 'road side assistance'? Why don't you just try to pull up the lock actuater with a hanger or something? If you have it double locked, you'll need to call a locksmith.

Oh hot damn, I just rememberd i stole my car from the mechanic over a weekend a couple months ago and I never got my key because I was afraid they wanted me to pay for them to look at my car (whatever was wrong with it I told them not to fix it) So i called them up and they got my key still, so woot ill go get it :)!!!!!!!

BTW now that I got my brain turning what are the pins to start a car from the service port?
