Wanted to know if 38,995 for a used 2001 530i steel blue with premium and sport packages at 35,000 was a good deal. My father almost bought it but was just a bit hestitant. Also it was at 2.9% financing as well. Kelly Blue Book had it at around 37,500 or so i believe. Further input please.

By the way Father doesn't like the new 5's.

Thanks

Man I am sorry to hear that, I did not like the new5er until I drove one. You fall in love with the car. Yes 38+k for a 2001 530i is to much to spend. Hell the base price in the new 525i starts at 35k and the 530i is 40k. Shop around. I am sure for that price your father could get into a used M5. Just long as it is a Bimmer[bmwdance]

Look to see what other comparable cars are going for. Since the new body style just came out, that sounds like a bit much for a car that is almost 4 years old... I hated the new 5 when it first came out. It grew on me, and now I think it is a beautiful car... I would get a 530i. The m52 or m54, i forget which one it is, is an awesome engine.
