Hey, I was ajusting my valve clearence, and the exaust valve ajuster lobe for cylinder 1was stiff. So I undid the nut so the little lobe could be loose. anyway the nut fell off and went down the oil drainage hole. Would it have fallen all the way down and into the sump, I stuck a piece of wire down to try to feel the nut and I couldn't. do I need to take the sump off to get it out or can it just sit there in the sump? Thanks Vincenzo

well it definitely can't just sit there! Depending how small it is maybe you can just drain the oil and it will flow out with it. I'd say that's your best bet right now.

try taking a really strong magnet and moving it around the bottom of the pan, if you get lucky you may get ahold of it and can pull it out the drain hole, aluminum isnt magnetic so with a strong magnet it wont be diffucult to move it around.
