Washing in the evening?

My neighbor washes his car every day (literally, its kinda scary) right before the sun goes down... what is the reasoning/logic behind this?

hehe..I do the same, it's either early in the morning or towards sundown. This is so you can avoid waterspots from the hot sun.

Me the same, basicly it is just so the car will stay wet longer preventing waterspots. The prob is when I start too late and get caught drying my car at night.

If you are like me..., that is about 90% of the time with 2 and 3 cars taking turns
If I was not so old..., maybe I would be faster???

Every day? NJ weather doesn't permit that. =(
During the summer, I think I'm going to do a lot of hand-washing. The only problem is cleanup at the end...always too lazy to do it, lol.

I love washing my car in the evening also. No sun or humidity.

I washed mine last night in the garage using a product called QEW. I have 3 500 watt halogen lights which gets the job done. I then follow up with QD.
