What Are The Best Rims To Put On An X3?

This is for all you guys out there who know your rims! I got an X3 back in June of '04 with 17' rims. I do plan on upgrading to some 18', or maybe even 19', rims. I wanted to know what rims are out there that would look specifically nice on an X3? Also, would it even be a good idea to go as far as putting 19' rims? Has anyone replaced their stock rims with new ones and if so are you happy with the changes?

I've seen the rims that BMW offers for the X3 and they are nice but I'm looking at other options. Info would be greatly appreciated!!!

as far as going w/ 19's it might compromise performance and get crappier handling. but i gotta say those rims do look sweet

Stick w/18's. Rumors say that the Sport Pkg already gives a stiff ride. 19's may just be jarring. Those Breytons do look nice.

The Sport Package is very stiff! I test-drove the X3 with the Sport Package and I felt every bump and crack on the highway and I test-drove one without the Sport Package. Good thing I did. I really wanted the Sport Package because of the 18' rims that came with it but I was able to save myself about $2K by opting not to take it. The X3 without the SP handles perfectly! I think the best thing would be to go as far as 18’ rims. I really do like the rims but I want to see if there are any other rims that would look good with the X3.

I know you guys have lots of cash to throw around but I don't, and needing some nice looking wheels for my X3 for winter I chose to look at "Cheap Wheels.com" and got a very nice set of alloy wheels delivered at no charge for $300. They look great and I would recommend this company. So take a look at there stock.

Hi, sorry I do not have a picture for you, and also looking back through my papers the price was $399 not $300. However, they are a fine set of wheels and here is the product number listed on their paper work. 17x8.0 TSW AVUS R. Hope this helps, good luck.
