What fluids do you guys run?

I used to run Mobil 1 15w-50 in summer and 5w-30 in the winter. I now run 5w-40 syn Valvoline in the engine year round and the car runs better. Redline D4 in the tranny. Valvoline syn 75w- 90 in the diff. Any posts would be great. I realize the car will run smoother with lower vis. oil. [wiggle]

No clue what oil I'll use in the summer, but I just put 5w30 mobile 1 synthetic in my E34, no burning or anything. Will be putting redline MTL and redline gear oil in the tranny and differential (respectively). I will also put a little bottle of the general motors limited slip differential additive in.

I run Mobil 1 15w50 in the engine year-round, whatever off-the-shelf ATF I can find since my transmission will leak it out anyways [?|], and Mobil 1 synthetic 75w90 in the differential.

In the Camaro, I run conventional 10w40 in the engine, Halvoline ATF in the tranny, and conventional Halvoline 75w90 in the differential.

Mobil? Is this what BMW recommends, or just what everyone seems to use? Just curious because I recently replaced a 350 engine in my car with 255,000 miles on it and all I ever used was Penzoil.
