Hi,
I have an ’88 M3. I need some help to identify a broken electrical part that is next to the power steering fluid bottle. This is a plastic electrical part that is about 3” long and is attached to the wheel well by a plastic clamp. The top of the part broke off and exposes two red wires that silver ends and plugs into the part. There is also an o-ring. Wires come from the part bottom and are fed thru a small hole in the wheel well. I hope this is enough info. Any help would be appreciated. Also, is this an expensive part or difficult to replace?
Thanks,
Dan

i do believe that is the connector for your wheel speed sensor or ABS sensor. you should be able to pick up a generic two wire connector at you local electrical supply shop and wire that in, i dont remember if it matters which wire goes to what. look at the connector, if it is completly round then it doesnt, if it has a slot on one side and a tab of some sort on the other, then it does.

The connector is round and both wires are red and look the same. I have a picture of the part, but have not been able to find out how to attach the picture to the message. I will check out replacing the connector this weekend.
Thanks!
