Hi everyone - just bought a 540i and very pleased with it. New engine 45k ago and auto box. Enough performance and lovely sound.
Problem I have is what would be called 'tank-slapping' on a motorbike. I.e. if I hit a bumpy patch, especially mid corner, the wheel tries to wobble out of my hands. Very disconcerting, especially when I'm really motoring and on a car like a BMW I wouldn't expect it. I've read a few places about control rods(?) and worn bushes but found nothing absolutely specific yet.
Just wondering if anyone out there has or has had the same problem. I'm assuming it's NOT just 540's BTW.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks.
