wheels for e30's

when i was at the tire store, the guy that was helping me told me that i can't put 18's on my car, he said just stick with my 17's. I was wondering if this is true or he is just full of crap.. [fake]

alrite mate ive just put 215/35/18 on my 318i e30 with a 45mm drop, and they dont rub at all thats with no arce mods, i dont no weather they would be alrite on ur 25 coz they might rub on ur sub frame, mine does slitly on left fall lock.
