Where to buy a used engine (4.4L)?

Vines automotive, or other BMW related wrecking yards. There is a BMW engine rebulider listed in the Roundel mag.

I wouldn't reply to this if you had more than 1 post (and knew you weren't trying to plug Bav Auto Recyclers), but I've never heard a damn good thing about them. i don't know specifics, but they are the same ones who were selling salvaged and wrecked bmw's on ebay for $4000.

i've heard both good and bad from bavarian recyclers...
and the bad really turned me off...
best best is it call up some junk yards =]
