i'd say go angel eye's all the way the HID kit is more expensive i'd say if you got the money go HID but i think the eye's look kooler

Angel eyes look very stupid on an E30. The 'Angel Eyes' of an E30 are called Smiley lights. They are not dot approved, but who cares

I would personally NEVER change the lights on my car except doing an actual upgrade like the smileys. I've never driven a car with headlights as bright as my BMW's.

I put the Cibie CSRs on my car and couldn't be happier. The pattern, which is flat to the left and angles up on the right, is great for going down the road and being able to see the signs on the right side. Plus they're bright as hell even though I don't have the high wattage lamps in them. Maybe when one burns out I'll go for a hotter bulb but they're good enough for now.
