Does anyone in the US make a widebody kit for my 87 325e? I have seen ads for kits in the UK, but I would rather deal inthe US. [screwy]

Thanks Joe

And don't ask me why I want to put a widebody kit on my BMW, It is because that is what I want. [slap]

I've heard M3 fenders will bolt right on you can check the wreck yards for crashed M3'z and see if they'll cut the rear quarters off. With some really good body work you could have that M3 wide body.

Gah, when will people search, the m3s quarters WILL NOT BOLT IN. The rear quarters are not even easily removeable... like funk said, The cars bodys are complete different, The C pillars are way wider, the trunk lid is smaller and overlaps the rear quarters... The front fenders will bolt up.. but thats going to look gay without rear ones.

Not saying it cant be done, and I have seen a site that has done it, but when its all said and done you can have 2 e30 m3s for that price

You can t just "cut" the rear quarters off and expect them to line up, you have to replace the whole back end

Edit:

xLibelle says its not worth even thinking about

Hey BMWjc3 you can have anything you want, it's a matter of how bad and how much you're willing to pay. I've seen it done and it looks killer but it's not cheap. There are wide body kits but some of them look like a 80'z Ferrari with the fins on the side.

Gah, and btw I said "I've heard" not that I an expert and that I'm 100% positive!

I've also seen a V12 bmw motor in a e30 too, anything can be done it's all about the $$$!

I will keep researching. Thanks for all your efforts.

BTW the reason I wanted a widebody kit is because they are different and some of the racecars I like BMW have widebody kits.

Hi everyone...it's been a long time since I've been on here (deployed military here), but I'd like to offer any help I can give.

The widebody kit show above is the Rieger Tuning Genesis kit. I buy direct from the Rieger Tuning US importer and they don't even bother to import this kit. It's too expensive (almost 2500) just for the panels and then there is a TON of fabrication and fitment work to be done by a competant body shop (even more $$$).

Most likely the kit show above for the M3 conversion is a Zender widebody kit made for regular e30s to look like an M3. These have been out of production for years, and I have only seen 1 to date here in the US. It's on a white 318i that was involved in an s52 swap.

For those of you familiar with BMPs failed experiment on the wide body, I have sourced the parts they used for their conversion. I have a set that I would personally like to sell (yes I can get more) simply because they weren't going to flow with the body design I'm working on. If anyone is interested, I'll let them go for $225 plus shipping. The reason BMP failed to mass produce these is because they overpriced them, and they took preorders and never acted on them. (quote from Chris @ BMP).

I'm currently trying to source the Zeemax fender flares from the UK so I can do some molding work on them. This has been very hard for me because they are also out of production.

Any questions, please feel free to hit me up.
