I meet a guy who is putting a 7 series V12 in an E30, so, sure, an E46 3.2 will *FIT*. But the question you really want to ask is "How hard is it to INSTALL?"

It will be a lot of work. If you have never done an engine swap before, this is not somehing you want to take on.

Not worth it, S52 with OBDI swap and a few other mods is a better motor anyways.

If you have to ask, then you probably don't have the technical expertise needed to do the swap.

I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, but it's the truth - this kind of swap would require some amazing fab work.
