Window Tint for 2004

Hey Everyone,

Just got off the phone with the dealer. Seems that the dealer is no longer tinting the 2004 530i windows. The dealer told me that they had tinted about 2 dozen cars and a few of them had problems due to the extra friction of the the tint when the glass was raised and lowered. While the dealer wont do the tinting, they said that I can go get an aftermarket tint done...

has anyone had any problems with their dealer installed tint, or any tints for the 2004 530i?

It sounds like the dealer just doesn't want to deal with the hassle of it. The friction thing is one of the more interesting excuses but I would just go to a window tint shop and have it done. More than likely, the dealership subs it out anyway and the same people do the work but you pay more.
