Hi

Can someone please post a pic/pics showing the wiper coverage on the E39 5-series, especially on the passenger side (LHD models), which uses the cam-action system.

Thanks

Are you serious??

If you are unhappy with your wipers, I highly recommend Bosch Micro Edge Excel windshield wiper blade. They do a great job and if you shop around, you can get them for a very reasonable price.

MrElussive,
Yes, I can't drive in the rain without RainX.
The trick is you have to apply it right. First apply wet with a good quality paper towel, like Bounty. Then you HAVE to buff it off after it hazes dry. Really buff and polish off, I use Bounty again, clean dry ones, and make sure there are no streaks left. If not, you will get a hazy and messy windshield. I have known many people who stopped using RainX becoz' they do not know how to apply it right. Try it out mann!

Thanks for the info, Cosmos.
bahnstormer, I used to have PIAA Silicone Wipers on my Jetta...they are just too expensive for wiper blades...they are like $20+ per blade, give me a break. Yeah, they were good, but not $20+ good. Now on my G35 Coupe, I bought the Bosch Micro Edge Excel wiper blades and they are much better. They do a little bit of a better job than the PIAA's did and they are much quieter...completely silent. And the best part is, I purchased them for $13 for the left blade and $7 for the right blade...less than the cost of one PIAA blade. So basically, next time you have to get wiper blades, go for the Bosch Micro Edge Excel blades and get them from: http://www.autobarn.net/ as they have great prices and fast shipping.

Cant stand RainX

The re-application and CONSTANT re-application really gets on my nerves... the window get a thirst fro the rainX and if not re-applied after a rain storm or two... the windows suck to be able to look through and the wipers chatter, etc...

Basically you are smearing silicone across your windshield... not too big a fan of that

Used it for years... when I sold my 1st car... never used it again... ever

The wiper coverage on the E39 is great, they cover about 97% of the windshield itself, plus there is a rain sensor so you don't have to turn them off each time you stop.
