Hi, I live in Belize (Central America) and we don't see BMWs here very often.
Now a friend here called me who is trying to repair one of those rare pieces we have here in the country and asked me to try to find a wiring plan for it. It is a 1982 320iA (USA). If you don't have a plan, maybe you know who to contact to find it? Is any more information needed?
Thanks,
Jana

I'm not sure what resources you have to buy books and what not, but look for a "Bently manual" for the E30 BMW.

I'll continue looking. If I can find my scanner, I'll scan in and send you the wiring diagrams.

You asked your question in the right place :)

Thanks!

Thanks a lot! This is GREAT! I will forward this to my friend right away!
Jana

PS: Books are virtually unavailable here (sometimes tourists leave novels here or every now and then a good book, though) - we would have to get someone to send it to us and shipping is outrageous, so we usually skip it and hope for visitors who can bring books. But thanks for the tip!

Difference between 320i and 320iA for wiring

Hello again!

I just remembered something! Is there a big difference between the wiring for a 320i and a 320iA (USA)?
Thanks in advance.

Kind regards
Jana

A 320iA is just an automatic transmission-equipped car. The wiring should be the same except for a few additional minor wiring changes for the automatic transmission since it has a neutral safety switch and since the reverse light switch is different. Other than that, the wiring should be pretty much the same as a manual transmission car.
