Ok. My bimmer is a little bit sick again and i dunno why. This is my problem. Normally when at idle my car goes at about 8/900 revs, everything fine there, but, lately she somtimes revs at about 2000 revs and twice now has gone flat out as if my foot was flat on the floor. When I checked under the hood to see if the cable was jamed open it wasnt. I turn off the car restart (same shit) try aagain, and its back down but only to about 1500 - 2000. Any ideas

I had a similar problem once years ago.

I went to start my car after visiting the grocery store. It did the same thing. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. The car started fine and I went home. Unfortunately it happened again, but I do not remember what my mechanic did.

driving along quite happily with my extraordinarily high revs when my car decides it doesnt want to drive anymore and is going to cut out, not a major problem and rolled up to my mates house. when i came out about half an hour later and restarted the car (on the third attempt) the revs had dropped back to around 800 and have been normal ever since.

any ideas wots going on or is my motor just schitzo
