X3 Computer Issues / Not Programmable

Just took delivery of my X3 2.5i days ago. The dealer told me to bring it back to have the additional memory features programmed. The shop has now had my car for 2 days and have told me that the computer wouldn't take the programming. On the second day, they said they had to update the software and had to wait for something from BMW. It's now going on day three, and still I don't have my brand new car back. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Nope.

At best, a 1 hour procedure.

My dealership didn't have the software when I took delivery so I had to return a couple months later to have the programming done. Worked out ok as I was able to have a couple post-delivery issues addressed at the same time (creaking door seals, moonroof drainage check valves, glovebox flashlight). Many of the related service bulletins came out after I took delivery of the X3.
