I test drove a 350Z and it was a nice car. I have only set in a Z4 so for and it feels so much cofortable (no idea how to spell it). My question is. I probaly can only afford a 2003 to 2004 Z4 with about 25000 mile on it. I want to know how many miles you have on your car and what kind of trouble you have had with it. I have heard the BMW's can be a expencive car to repair. I can not afford to be spending a lot of money on repairs. (besides once have I talked my wife into letting me get a sports car I would never end up hearing the last of it if I bought a car that sent me to the poor farm). Should I stick with a more economical car like the 350Z or would a good used Z4 be a dependable daily driver?

If you have the cash buy a BMW - 350Zs are cheap and terribly built - the nature of Nissan. If you want the BMW badge buy a Z3 cheaper and more affordable. Problems not really common in their roadsters.

I have a 98 M roadster and have owned a 97 Z3 2.8. I loved them both and would not have traded wither for a 350z. I like the reto look of the Z3 over the Z4, but the Z4 has a upgraded interior and egronomics. I will stay with my roadster. Good luck on your quest.

My neighbor has a 350z which I've driven. It's a pretty nice car, but he had to get the computer replaced before he even put his first tank of gas in it - died on the way to the gas station. Pushing the car back home blew the seals for the power steering and it's been in the shop a number of times for suspension problems.

Buy the BMW Z - it might be a slower car, but I think you will be happier with it - though I've never gotten over the tin can sound whenever you close the doors.
