First time posting. Fiance has a 98 Z3 and the power seat will go back and forward but not up and down anymore. Is there any chance this could be a fuse or relay? Power top stopped working also, but that was last summer: told her to use the manual mode!!! I drive a 02 530I with M suspension and the rest of the bells and whistles. Think they are both great cars but a bear to work on. Thanks

Welcome to the board.BMW's are not too hard to work on once you grasp the German method of things. For best results and help get a Bentley manual, they are tops (no pun intended). It would seem like a fuse problem regarding the power top, but I would think the seat forward and back/up and down would be on the same fuse as they use the same switch. I could go check my roadster and if I find something different or revealing I will post it. Best of luck.

Hello fellow St. Louisian...where abouts are you from?

I live in Chesterfield, right next to the mall. Good luck with the problem, I would help you but I don't know the answer [driving2]

She said she heard something snap when putting up the top last summer, so I'm afraid it won't be a fuse but it never hurts to check. Thanks for sharing you knowledge with all...I read you posts alot. By the way, my kids gave me the E-mail address 9 years ago when I bought a 56 T-Bird and got plates for it that read Kuel-56. Just thought you might want to know where the name came from.
