Hi gang ... just joined the Board today.

Here is my problem:

I have 46K on my 2001 Z3 3.0 and am at the end of my 2nd set of tires. The rear tires seem to have an issue with wearing alot on the inside edges. Took it to the dealer as it is still under warranty ... thinking it was an alignment problem. I was told that the Z3 is set with the tires at an outward "tilt" to allow for much better performance in cornering, etc. I was told that I am not driving my car hard enough!! They further told me they could not adjust the "tilt" out of it. [scratch]

Have any of you experienced the inside edge wear on the rear tires? If so, have you found a way around it?

BTW ... I am running Mich Pilot a/s front and rear.

Thanks ... in advance ... for your help.

The roadsters do have some negative camber built into them, as do most all BMW's. I have had a 97 2.8 and never had a wear issue, other than, yes the rears wear two to one to the fronts. I now have a 98 M roadster and with the H&R springs it had on it it did wear on the inside edge of the tires, but the car was 1.5 inches to 2.0 inches lower than stock which added to the negative camber. I now have Dinan Stage II suspension and have no wear issues!
