[:(] Well, first it was the IPod won't work with the premium Carver audio system in my Z4. Now, it seems that I have a blown speaker in the back wall behind the driver's side head rest...the one on top. First a trip to the dealer to confirm the failure. The speaker was order and an appointment made for 1 week later ("please call me if the part doesn't come in"). So, I show up for the appointment at 8 am for what was to be a "quick fix". The car goes in the shop, comes back out, the speaker didn't arrive, but "we confirmed that the speaker is blown". Ok. Call me when the speaker comes in. Got the call yesterday, scheduled the quick fix for 1:30 today. I'm there 10" early but they take the car right away. A few minutes later, it's back out. Wrong speaker. They sent one with a paper cone and the Carver system is better. Ok, Order the right speaker and call me. [mad] Oh, by the way, (the SM says), it will take 4 hours! Seems that the entire rear wall behind the seats has to be removed to replace this 4" speaker! What BS [bash] . Does anyone know if this is true? Can't take out the friggin speaker without tearing the car apart? [screwy]

Yes, the speakers behind the seats in the Z3 cannot be reomved without taking out the seats as well. Sounds like the service at your dealer is not the best.
But I have a Z4. He didn't say the seats had to be removed, but the whole back panel behind the seats. I don't know which is worse, but it sure reflects some poor plannig/design when simple things like speakers/replacement, represent such a labor intensive job.
