ok so im getting ready to go pick my brother up from the airport this morning, i unlock and get in my car. hey guess what NOTHING WORKS. i tried to turn on the car and it does nothing like "nope niki, sorry, im lazy today" doesnt crank, turn over, nothing. then i turn it back to try again, and it locks, like the key wont turn as far.... my lights dont work, nothing works!. my locking system doesnt work, wont lock or unlock. my radio doesnt even work if i turn it part way... 1986 325e... i will be outside trying to figure this thing out, can someone, ANNNNYYYONNNEE email me with help. emails go directly to my phone so ill be able to respond right away. please please help me ..

on the best day of the year for ur car to not start too.

Check you battery - sounds like it has gone flat, or possibly a wire has come off one of the terminals. For there to be NO power, it pretty much HAS to be the battery.

First check that one of the wires on the battery is not loose.

Then, use sheilded jumper cables to jump start the car. Put the positive on your car first, then on the car you are using to jump start (this car's engine should be running). Then put the negative on to a bare metal part of your car (not the neg batt terminal) - the hook on the front of the motor is a good place. Then the other end onto the neg terminal of the running car. Then start your car and remove the cables in opposite order.

Should have you running.

Then go to your mechanic to have your battery tested. If its fine, then you must have left something on (like your interior light).

+1 I'd agree.
From the info you have given us, your battery is dead flat.

It is possible that your could have had an accessory on all night and it deadened your battery.
also have your mechanic check alternator output which should cost basic nothing.
