Ahhhh! I think there is a misunderstanding here! In Aussie we have the option of converting (some of) our cars to run on gas (LPG) which is about half the price as regular petrol. This is why I was stumped when there was mention of converting an M5 to gas; I immediately thought LPG and wondered what in God's name could be worse!

LOL it would run like absolute shit! LPG runs at really high temperatures and has a lower octane rating than petrol. I'm pretty sure the ECU in an S62 would shit itself even if you'd made a "proper" conversion. And it would probably also halve the life of the engine, so not such a good idea....unless of course you like the unique smells and sounds of a forklift

I love that smell, but whats even better is the smell of race fuel, like methanol.

If you want more sounds, have you thought about putting in a new cold air intake and a new exhaust system? Both of those modifications will increase the sound of the vehicle (as well as providing a more aggressive tone), and you'll get some more power out of the car. Going with an aftermarket ECU chip would be your third step to get even more power. With these three modifications, you should be able to get at least 15 more horsepower out of the car.
