ahhhhhhh I'm going to Knoxville for Christmas, we can pick you up on the way......remember the Beverly Hillbillies.....we'll bring out our biggest squirrel for Christmas dinner....[rofl] [rofl]
Are you from Knoxville? Off the subject, I know.

We always have fake tree's b/c both my mother and I are horribly allergic to real ones.

Raised in Sweetwater, Tennessee...........lil bro lives in Knoxville..........

The best Christmas trees are the real ones that you replant somewhere on the farm after Christmas............more habitats for the big squirrels........[rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

I like my fake white one, low maintenence, and looks like snow...does not snow in Mississippi....but miss the snow. Plus, fits great in the closet over the year, easy setup, no disposal worry.....and not mess....of fire hazard. Just glad I am home this holiday.....not deployed again. Even in the desert, a metal or cardboard tree (Fire Hazard from hell)....means just as much XMAS as a real tree.....not like you can find on in Qatar....LOL....it is still all good. Right now, some troops in Iraq are probably making a tree out of anything they can find.....and sharing candy sent from home......been there done that.[thumb]

Our family uses a big fake tree. No maintenance, looks perfect, and re-usable every year. Real is definitely more authentic, but there are so many benefits of fake, just go for it...especially since you can't tell if it's real or fake until you examine the tree VERY closely. We have used real and fake in the past, but this year, we purchased a new fake tree that should last us for years to come.

We actually always get two trees, one real and one fake. The real one gets all of the fun ornaments and the ones my sister and I have made over the years and the fake tree gets the glass balls and the pretty "mom" decorations. [:D]

Fake. Looks like crap b/c it sheds every year and after many years, it's starting to look barren. We cover it up with a ton of ornaments and stuff to hide it tho. Sure wish we had a real one cuz of the smell and look but out here in the burbs, it's quite a drive to the nearest place that sells trees. My g/f's family up in SF always gets real trees. But then again, they live down the street from a tree sellign place.
