Going into networking, I see that I'll be using windows and *nix. I would never let my company buy macintosh.
Never is a strong word, especially in networking. Apple OS X Server does indeed run BSD Unix, one of the most stable and oldest ports of Unix. In fact, OS X Server was Network Magazine's 2003 Server product of the year. Apple has made some serious in roads in the server area in terms of price/performance/per seat license costs - there are no per seat costs, just like Linux. Take a look at InfoWorld's web site and what some of the business community thinks about OS X Server. http://www.infoworld.com/article/03/08/15/32FEapplerev_1.html?s=feature

Suppose you are on a job interview & the interviewer says "What is your experience with Apple?" and you make that statement. She says "Oh that's too bad. We've done a 3 month streaming media server evaluation for our company web site and Apple's offering is in the lead." Oooops......

I'm not trying sell or convert anyone. But just have an open mind to ALL technologies, especially where your career is concerned. You'll go a lot further if you do. I kinda gather that you are going to school right now for networking. Do you have any specific area(s) of interest that you are focusing on?

Alright, i made that statement without thinking...but if it is ever my decision as to what computers or platforms a company uses, I will not pic macintosh unless they start building their products to be a little more "user friendly" for those who know what they are doing, Like me.

I;ll rather be unemployed than be hired by/to use apple.

So true... All the staff in our school are waking around with Apple shirts becuase we're "The school of the future" or some crap like that, becuase every student is getting there own iBook. They just built a $10 million school... They still can't regulate the heating in air conditioning, the temperarute ranges from about 62-80 in the classrooms, half the lockers flooded when it rained, they can't raise or lower the flag becuase it's electric, they just finished building the school this year and it's already crap... All thanks to "technology"

Hell no she doesn't! All private schools in our area are either Jewish [xx(] or they suck. Our city tends to have too much money for some reason and builds all this new stuff all around,.. including the school. Nice but pointless.

At first it was the "So true... All the staff in our school are waking around with Apple shirts becuase we're "The school of the future" or some crap like that, becuase every student is getting there own iBook." Which I think has to do with Pavels post, but then I kinda got off track, sorry.
