Was that the worst half-time show ever or what? MTV has little and no business producing mass market shows.

They have no apparent knowledge of diverse markets.[???1]

They obviously have no real access to entertainers or chose not to spend the money necessary for a diverse array of quality. [8]

I bet they NEVER get the opportunity to do this type of program anywhere, at any time in the future. This is obviously a good thing. [clap]

There sure was no consideration for those watching; age appropriate must be well beyond their understanding. As for the apology, did they not see the couple of minutes before the "incident" for which they apologized?

Its the NFL, not a porn show. [scream]

Oh yea, it was planned and disgusting as well. After the game when they were interviewing players I was thinking about some of them who were holding there childern in their arms. Did these kids get a view of that as well? The worse part is that they were singing about being naked and then Limber Head tears the breast cover off Janet Nasty as though he were assulting her. Is this the image we want protrayed to our children?

I think it was very unappropriate too. I stopped watching the superbowl during the 2nd quarter to watch a show on speedvision on ferrari (superbowl got to be boring...)

Of course I heard about it all over the place, but what really really gets me is how MTV makes a huge deal over being one of the least censored network's, which is not true!! They bleep out words like Hell, crap, and ass. Comedy central is not nearly as censored as MTV, especially after 12am.

Then MTV pulls this. Anyone else think janet jackson looks super super ugly in that picture? When I saw the picture I thought michael jackson finally got boobs *pukes*

At first, I thought she had a nipple patch on. Then, I saw some close up pictures. That was one funky nipple ring/decoration. You can see most of her nipple. There was so much skin showing this SuperBowl (including naked dude dressed as ref), I thought we got transported to Europe.

Oh, does anyone have video of that Patriot tackling the naked dude? I wanna see that.

The thing that pissed me off is JT trying to lie about the whole thing being unintentional. Made himself look foolish and he IS a big LIAR!

Oh and they are all sorry now...now that they did not get the positive press they wanted. These people forget that they are just people, most of them actors, they do not even lead real lives. In reality they are nobody!

I agree!

I think the whole thing had to be planned and how stupid are they, network included. It is like there was nobody in the process with the foresight and common sense to thing about where they were and the audience that was watching.

It is not just the “wardrobe malfunction” portion, what about leading up to that? It was planned, no question in my mind.

Not that I am saying the halftime show need to be a Disney/Pixar production. It should not be that difficult with the budget the have to product something appropriate for the audience and the event.

While I agree it was inappropriate, especially considering that lots of kids watch the superbowl, I also don't think it was a really big deal (and I'm referring to the whole 1/2time show, not just the incident). This was really no different than what you would expect to see on MTV (including the breast with barely covered nipple) and kids see this stuff and hear this music pretty regularly. I think the big shock to it was that it wasn't the time or place that anyone expected to see it. Local news reported that a number of church youth groups got together to watch the game. Ooops!
My kids were watching (Boys 10 and 13) and we just kind of were in shock. 'Did we see what I think we saw?'. If they were younger, I probably would have been more upset about it.

It was a desparate move for the spotlight by people whose careers are fading. Jackson is a nobody, and Timberlake is lost without the other Boys.

As far as MTV goes, I used to watch it when it was MUSIC Television. Now it is pathetic trumped up situation game show network (Road Rules, Real World, etc.) that have no bearing to anything that goes on in any close-to-normal person's life. MTV used to be unique, now they just suck and are desparate for ratings so they produce controversial crap. MTV is the Jerry Springer of the music industry.

Yea, remember when MTV was music television, and yes they even played good music videos back then. What does this say about the way things have changed?

Remember Madonna Like A Prayer video and the scandal surrounding it in the eighties. How insignificant that seems in today’s world.
