Omg, I can't believe you guys don't know what a Nissan Skyline GT-R is !!!!!!!!!!! It is a kickass sports car, one of the FEW worthy sports cars from Japan. It will rip up an M3 (and an M5, of course) on the track. AWD + 280hp twin turbo + superb handling makes it a track monster. It is worth every penny.

My M5 does 400 meters in 11.6s, and can rach speeds of 345km/h. If I pass that skyline at this speed it will rip that spiler down. [hihi] Don't even compare Nissan with BMW. Even on the track is no match.

Well, if you just wanna rely on brand names to prove your point, then go for it. But I have a video of a Skyline GT-R raping a 350Z, M3, S2000, and Boxster (all in stock form) on a race track.
Not saying that I would ever buy one (I would rather spend $90K on a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S), but ya gotta give out the respect where it's due.

Maybe thats true, but the person who posted it should go hang out at the Nissan website instead of here.[bmwkick]
Heh, that's why I don't like the M3 section of this site...M3 owners are too quick to jump on others. You should re-read everything I posted and try to understand what I said instead of being quick to take it all as an insult. An M3 is far from the end of all sports cars.

Yes, and it has my respect. And for a $50,000 sports car, I wouldn't even think about getting anything else. But off the top of my head, I can name many sports cars that are better than it (less and more expensive).
My point was that a Nissan Skyline GT-R is a great sports car and better than an M3. I'm not saying this with any bias towards towards Nissan/Infiniti. I have no loyalty towards Nissan and/or Infiniti, I simply own a G35 Coupe. My brand loyalty goes out to BMW and Mercedes and I chill here, on a BMW forum, and that's not going to change.

You're right, it just came off kinda funny and if I did have 100K to spend on a car, I would do it to and it probably would be a BMW or a Porsche, just because I like the way they look. Did not mean to raise your hackles on that one.[:)]

yeah 89k is steep (if that is the price?) You could probably get a used 996 C4S for about 80-90. I ordered a new one for a friend of mine (who didn't know anything aobut cars just wanted a porsche) and his C4C came out to 120k out the door. Kind of steep, considering that the base price of a Turbo is supposed to be around there, but when i talked to porsche we figured that getting the turbo would cost around 20k more all said and done.

well the thing is porsche lies about their msrp. like most cars it like base price includes lets say leather A and has lests say 1000$ package for leather B. porsche does like this. MSRP without any uphostry package, then leather A 5000$ leather B 6000. and they do that for all of the options radio, obc/nav, rear seats (some people put fake leather since no1 ca sit there) things like that. so a 85k sticker is like a 100k at the minimum packages. and more with more packages.

plus assuming he got automatic/triptronic, porsche charges a shitload for that.
