I got a good deal on mine which is why I got it, and I needed AWD. I wanted cheaper transporation than my current lease and going used was the way to go. Just wish the car had some pick-up because its dogshi* slow. Great highway cruiser though so I can live with it.

I fell in love with mine the first time I saw it at a BMW dealership.

The E30 is just such a handsome little car, as is the E34 (although that's not exactly little!)
Thankyou very much!! I think the e28, e30, and E34 are some of the absolute best looking cars around, of course they are in a different class of good-looking than cars like aston martin's and etc.

I bought my '85 b/c 1) I got a killer deal on it 2) its a lot cooler than my Nissan Sentra 3) much more power and RWD 4) The e30 is a classic and classy body style and lastlybut most importantly, ITS A BMW!!!

I bought mine because when I was about 10 years old I saw my friends granfathers car. It was a red 88' 325i with MTECH2 kit. From that day foward I always said I was going to own one. When I enislisted in the Army and then got send to Germany all I had on my mind was to get a BMW just like the one I had seen some 10 years ago. The first E30 I owned was a 90' 318is, then an 86' 316, and now I have 2 88' 325i's with MTECH2 kits. Which IMO is the best looking stock kit that you can get for the E30's. I am not a big fan of the E30 M3 body style.

In need of a beater 5 speed, I bought my '90 325i from Craigs List on a whim. Body and paint were not the best, but the interior was straight, the retrofitted ac worked, valves and timing belt had been redone; and it had some iS parts: 14"basketweaves, sport seats, springs, and a 4.10 LSD.
This car is extremely fun around corners and sweeping off ramps. I can bring the rear around in a controlled manner w/ the gas pedal, even at low speeds. The engine is not the smoothest, but steering, shifting, and throttle work together so well- is this the renowned 'German enginnering'?
It's quite the sleeper with its 4 doors. And the insurance is way cheaper than that of the WRX I gave up. [thumb]
