Yeah I know that Porsche voids the warranty if their cars have been tracked. This is quite handy for them given the huge problems encountered with the Ceramic Brakes of late... Some of these systems are worth upwards of $20,000.

The norm in the UK by the manufacturers is reject the claim, but if the customer puts up enough of a fight - pay out !!

I know of someone who has had to replace the ceramic brakes on his GT3 RS after a track day, £7,000 - now that is an expensive track day !!!

The new C6 vette which has numbers similar to the C5 Z06 is on hell of a potent car for the money. It is just such a different car from the M3. M3 is a 2+2 and can be driven in the winter. Thus a much more well rounded car. The overall quality is better in the M3 with manual tranny being superior to the C6.

With that being said though the C6 is not too far off in the interior fit and finish which is better than the C5 and the MN6 tranny has gotten better with shorter shifts. 0-60 in 4.1 with Z51 pkg aint bad either top speed 186 MPH and 1/4 mile in 12.7. Well optiomed price but not crazy is 48K, but you can get one as low as 40K with discounts.

Wait til the new Z06 comes out 500+hp est 3.5 to 60 and 1/4's in the 11's with a top speed over 190mph. PRICE: 68K

But they are completely different cars and offer different things for different people. BMW's are just so percise and fun to drive up and down the Model line up.

Cool toy, almost Formula 1 :) it was funny to see that dude's face during acceleration. Want even more fun? - buy a jet fighter. People who have flown that things saying that driving all those supercars does not come even close :)

Beautiful pic of an F-15 Eagle. [thumb]
